Before speech therapy

Before speech therapy

The process of engaging your child in speech therapy is onerous.

The entire cost of therapy isn’t just about the bill you pay when you leave the consulting room. To get to an appointment you have to take time away from your work environment, collect your child from school, travel to the venue, juggle siblings, dinner and the rest of your life around and then engage in the challenging task of homework.

For all of this effort you want results.

This book is about our speech therapy experience.

My daughter Elly started speech therapy at the age of three and at the age of 12 we discovered that pretty much everything we had done to that point probably didn’t count for much despite accessing well respected therapists.

I’d like to share our experience in the hope that with some of our hindsight style pre therapy planning your trust, time, effort and money will be rewarded with results.
